Our project for this four storeys Victorian terrace house in Chelsea, one of the most exclusive boroughs in London, was focused on the full refurbishment of the whole building. This included the excavation of the basement, the erection of a contemporary conservatory on two floors and the creation of a patio area with a rear garden.
We worked closely with our client and the Planning Department of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to completely renovate and extend the property.
Major structural works were carried out. The rear façade was demolished and rebuilt like-for-like.
All interior walls, floors and staircase were removed and rebuilt. The Lower Ground Floor was completely excavated to increase its footprint and headroom.
Our project achieved a sense of continuous space, improving the natural light ingress in the premises as a key element for the wellbeing of its inhabitants.
The use of internal glass partitions and the erection of a contemporary glass conservatory visually open the interior of the building to the outdoor patio area and rear garden.
